In Loving Memory Gene Scritchfield May 31, 1970 - October 29, 2008
	A note from Ann Marie: My husband, Gene Scritchfield, died October 29, 2008 after a tragic tractor accident. Click here to see Gene's obituary. As many of you have stated, "We have lost the best." Gene was a true mountain man and was living his dream life. We own and operate Sable Mountain Outfitters as well as raise livestock on our ranch and did all together as a family. Gene is deeply missed by all who knew him and that will be felt for many years to come. I know that many of you are wondering what will happen to Sable Mountain Outfitters. As someone wrote to me, "Gene's presence will be felt in those mountains forever." While there is absolutely no way things will ever be the same without Gene, we will go on, in Gene's memory and do it in the way he taught us all. Our Wranglers and Guides are loyal, professional and very knowledgeable in the way we run our business and they plan to remain with us next year. I'm taking my time now to reorganize and plan to start taking bookings in January, 2009. I cannot guarantee that it will be without tears, so please bear with me for the next year and beyond. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel to everyone who has sent e-mails, cards, letters, pictures, plants, flowers and contributions to Mason and Eva's education fund. Your kindness is truly appreciated and will always be remembered. Thank you.
