Sable Mountain Outfitters offers both guided and unguided horse rentals for summer and all hunting seasons. We have saddle horses and pack horses and a limited number of pack mules for your use. We are very proud of our herd. We raise or purchase only top quality, reliable mountain horses and mules for all riding levels and do our best to ensure that horse and rider are compatible.
2005 Unguided Horse Rental Prices (May 15th-August 27th)
Half Day: $40
Full Day: $60
7-Day Rental: $250
2005 Unguided Horse Rental Prices (August 27th-November 15th)
Full Day: $75
7-Day Rental: $325

Rental Terms
Signed contracts and a $100 nonrefundable deposit (per horse) are required to reserve horses. You are responsible for the feed, care and welfare of each horse while in your possession. Prices include the necessary tack. Not included in prices are feed and delivery charges. Colorado certified weed free feed only is allowed in the national forest and wilderness areas. We have grain and hay available at market value. A delivery charge of $2.00 per mile may be applicable if outside the local area (west of South Fork Campground or east of Mirror Lake Trailhead).
Horses must be returned to Sable Mountain Outfitters in the same condition that you received them. Additional fees will be charged for horses returned with sores, illness or injury or if a horse is lost or dies in your possession. Mistreatment of horses will not be tolerated.
